Corona Kavach App Download: Corona Virus a COVID-19 Spreading rapidly across the world & India also started to face the Virus & the India has been locked down for 21 days from 25th March. To control the Corona Virus; Corona Kavach App has been released by The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) in association with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MHFW). The Corona Kavach is a location-based app that uses the location of the users smartphones to alert if they are at risk or suffered from infected people’s of COVID-19.

Currently the app is in beta stage, the app is still a work in progress and crashed more than a few times & also a lot of trouble trying to generate an OTP to log in. The app will asks six questions, It asks if you have any difficulty breathing, what your temperature is, if you’ve returned from a foreign country, whether you’re feeling a body ache, if you have a dry cough or sore throat, & finally, if you’ve met anyone from a foreign country.

The app sorts you into different categories from code green, all fine, to orange, for see a doctor, yellow for quarantine, and red for infected. After that, whenever you go out of the house, you can press a button to activate the “Kavach app” & the app will keep you track.

How To Use Corona Kavach App?

  1. First of all, Download Corona Kavach app from Google Play Store (Currently app is in Beta Test)
  2. Install & Open the app, it will shows a screen the app has been developed by MeitY and MHFW.
  3. Then app asks for permissions to allow track your location, access files
  4. Now You have to Enter Mobile number to register with a one time password (OTP) sent to your mobile number
  5. The homepage will show the information about the number of people infected, number of people cured, & the number of deaths.
  6. In the menu, you can fill in the questionnaire so it knows your status
  7. After Clicking on Corona Kavach logo will start the one hour countdown & the app will track your location
  8. Suppose In case you come into contact with someone else who has set their status to infected, the app is supposed to issue an alert.
  9. That’s all about the Corona Kavach App.
